Questions people ask first

What is Borrro?

Borrro is a place to rent things from people near you, by the day. Owners list what they own. You find what you need, ask the owner, and pick it up close to home.

How does renting work?

  1. Find an item. Ask the owner anything before you book.
  2. Send a request for your days. The owner has 24 hours to accept or decline.
  3. At pickup you both record the item’s condition with photos, and both sign.
  4. Return it when your days are up. The owner checks it, and your deposit comes back.

More on how Borrro works and on how trust works.

When do I pay?

Nothing is charged until the owner accepts.

The price on each item is for the time shown next to it, and the deposit is shown on its own line.

What is the deposit?

The deposit is security money, not part of the price. Some items have none; the item’s page says.

It comes back after you return the item in good order. If the owner reports damage, a person on Borrro’s team decides what happens.

Do I need to show my ID?

Your phone number and your ID are checked before some things are allowed. An item’s page says what you need before you ask. Your ID document and selfie are seen by the Borrro team only, and are never shown to the other person.

The full list of checks is on how trust works.
